EFFECTS OF DETOXIFICATION

Colour and Condition

One of the most visual effects of ion detoxification is the discoloration of the spa water. Water colour is an indicator of different toxins being released into the foot spa water from specific body systems.  In addition, each colour generally represents the part of the body that is being detoxified as noted in the chart below.  White foam is thought to indicate mucous from the lymph system.  White cheese-like particles indicates probable yeast build up.  Black flecks may indicate heavy metals.  Red flecks may indicate blood clot material.

Diet and Toxicity

Every colour has a chemical value.  The choice of natural food colours in the diet can assure balance in body chemistry.  The chemical components of natural foods can also contribute to the acid-alkaline balance in the body.  Green foods generally nourish the immune system, especially the liver and the gallbladder.  Red foods nourish the endocrine system, including the pituitary gland, as well as the heart and small intestines.  Orange foods nourish the joints.  Yellow foods nourish the digestive system, including the spleen, stomach and pancreas.  Yellow-green foods nourish the kidney, bladder, urinary tract, female reproductive/male prostate areas.  Brown foods nourish the liver.  White foods nourish the respiratory system (lungs) and also the large intestine, lymphatic system and skin.  Black foods nourish the circulatory system, kidneys, liver, gallbladder and bladder.
