INTRODUCING ACUPUNCTURE WITHOUT NEEDLES What is Acupuncture? Acupuncture has been practiced for over 5000 years. Acupuncture is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that suggests that the body has an energy force running through it along specific pathways. The energy force is known as “Qi” (pronounced chee). Energy constantly flows up and down these pathways. When the pathways become obstructed, deficient or unbalanced, your health is similarly disrupted. Acupuncture is the insertion of hair fine needles into specific points along the energy pathways or "channels" to re-establish the lost energy flow and restore health. What are Acupuncture Channels? An acupuncture "channel" or meridian is like a hidden conduit or passageway between specific “points” on the surface of the body and each of the body’s organs. In general, these channels connect specific cells from the outer layer or skin surface of the body to specific vital organs inside the body. In many cases some of the outer layer “points” can be “read” to diagnose a variety of conditions in the associated specific organs of the body. 5000 years ago, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) discovered that treatment of the organs could be affected through these channels at these specifically known “points”. What are Acupuncture Points? Disease can be described as the “dis” “ease” of the body. In many cases this dis-ease will manifest itself through the skin. For example: in diabetes, there are obvious pain points on the skin which will indicate when the diabetes insulin organ is ill. In TCM these pain “points” become treatment “points”. Treating the "reflex point" of the skin can adjust the metabolic disorder of the related organs and resume the function of that organ. The treatment is “channeled” to the dis-eased organ by performing the treatment at the related connecting “reflex point”. For more information on acupuncture channels and points, check out the following website: http://www.acupuncture.com.au/education/meridians/meridians.html What is the Western Perspective on Acupuncture? The physiological changes of the body have been observed during acupuncture treatment to determine its effects. Several physiological changes have been observed but no real answer to the mystery of the healing power of acupuncture has been determined. The following are a few of the prevailing theories: The Augmentation of Immunity theory suggests that white blood cell counts, antibody and prostaglandin levels are increased. The Endorphin Theory suggests that acupuncture stimulates the secretions of endorphins in the body. Neurotransmitter Theory suggests that levels of Serotonin and Noradrenaline are increased during acupuncture treatments. Circulatory Theory suggests acupuncture increases circulation through the release of vasodilators causing dilation of blood vessels. Regardless of the differing theoretical perspectives as to how acupuncture works, the common conclusion suggested by these theories appears to be that Acupuncture works. Can Acupuncture Results Be Achieved Without Needles? The DTI-100 Diabetes Therapy Instrument emits quantum bundles of low voltage, high energy, electrical impulses which are described as the Meihuazhen “needle effect” according to TCM. Although the effect is the same as traditional acupuncture, NO NEEDLES are used with this therapy. As in the use of acupuncture, however, the DTI-100 Diabetes Therapy Instrument only works on very specific points on the body associated with specific organs. How Does The DTI-100 Work? The discharge of electronic impulses into the skin surface has the same effect as traditional acupuncture, BUT WITHOUT NEEDLES. During the therapy process, the electrical impulse energy is simultaneously overlapped by light energy and magnetic field energy. The low voltage, high energy, electrical impulses enter the body through a specifically selected acupuncture point, then travel along the proper channel to the target organ where they stimulate the desired affect. For example, if you want to lower blood sugar, you would apply the DTI-100 Therapy Instrument to the acupuncture point on the sole of the foot to affect the receptor affinity of insulin in the user's body. The effect would be to improve the balance between sugar and insulin at a cellular level and thereby reduce the presenting symptoms of diabetes. For more information refer to the Blood Sugar page of this website. Although the combined energy described is very potent, it will not puncture the skin or hurt the sub-epidural tissue. In addition, the permeability provides for a long lasting treatment effect. Most important is the realization that the DTI-100 Diabetes Therapy Instrument can be self administered to treat both the cause (functional dis-ease) and the effect (symptoms) of diabetes in the comfort and privacy of your own home. What Else Can The DTI-100 Be Used To Treat? Blood Sugar, Neuropathy, Weight Control, Poor Digestion, Insomnia, Psoriasis and more. Click on the appropriate page above to find out how using this simple therapy device, in only minutes a day, can improve the quality of your life. |
